Lesson 16: What to do With Your Calling
Lecturer: Apostle Colette Toach
Welcome to the final lesson for this course!
Up until now we have had a good look at what a prophet is and what a prophet is NOT. As a result you should be able to see pretty clearly where you stand in your calling. But the ultimate question remains:
If you know what your calling is, what do you do with it?
By the end of this lesson I hope to give you some ideas and suggestions as to what you can do. Simply read through this list and identify what stage you are at in your calling and follow the simple guidelines that follow.
1. I am still not sure of my calling, but would like to learn more about the gifts of the spirit.
Every believer is able to flow in the gifts. In other words... you do not need to be a prophet to prophecy! The best counsel I have for you is to watch and receive from others that flow in the gifts. See how they operate. Then when you are at home, reach out for that gifts and learn to practise them in your quiet time. This is safe and powerful!
Check out other courses on AMI Campus like for example the Dreams and Visions course.
If you want to find out what the Lord has called you to do, get your hands on the book "Called to the Ministry": http://www.ami-bookshop.com/index.php?Product=899&format=2
2. I am aware of my calling for the first time.
Welcome to the realm of the prophet! I know how exciting it is to know that the Lord has picked you out for the first time. There are just so many great things to do! It would be a great benefit for you to look at the Dreams and Visions course I mentioned above. If you do not have the Practical Prophetic Ministry book yet, then go no further until you have read it! This will give you a great footing to begin with.
In addition to that be aware now of prophets in the church. As you are aware of your calling, you are bound to notice others who flow in the same way. Watch learn and then do not be afraid to step forward and share!
3. I had a suspicion before, but now I know for sure!
You are ready to get moving then! I encourage you to seek the Lord for a mentor or someone you can look up to, to help you through this next while. If you are ready for some real training, you can apply to become a student at our Prophetic School: www.prophetic-school.com
4. I have known my calling for some time, but need to mature in it.
What are you waiting for? It is vital that you get your hands on materials to build up your spirit. Elisha needed Elijah to teach him and even one of the greatest prophets Samuel, received from the high priest. Books and teaching can be your mentors if you cannot receive from one live. I highly recommend AMI Prophetic School http://www.prophetic-school.com to you.
5. I know now that I am NOT a prophet, but am interested to learn more facts.
Well it depends on the facts you are interested in. Any person who has made a success out of their ministry and life knows that it takes some effort to learn DAILY! So put time aside daily to learn at least one thing new.
AMI Bookshop has great books for purchase. It is not just knowledge that you will get but living knowledge!
